Prices & Practicalities

I offer a free 30 minute session to enable you to come and meet me, ask questions and see how you feel about working together.

£45 per 1 hour session (payable by cash or cheque). Concessions available – I’d like everyone to have access to some experiential counselling whenever possible…..

The standard fee will be charged for any missed or cancelled session where 48 hours notice has not been given.

HOW MANY SESSIONS?

The duration of counselling is different for everyone; we can explore what you would like together, and you can review this at any time along the way. You may simply want a session or two to work on something particular; or you may know that you need much longer. A common way of working is to agree to a certain number of sessions, say six, and then review how things are going at that point, and regularly thereafter. For a number of clients, around 12-16 sessions seem to be enough for substantial changes to have occurred. Many people may want more, and others may choose to have a break for a while to let things move forward, and come along for another round of sessions later on.

WHERE?

I work from an office in my home, in Rodborough, Stroud.
There is parking within a very short walk.

The times I can offer will vary, but it works best to commit to the same regular session time each week. It is sometimes possible for me to offer home visits in the Stroud area, at a small extra charge, if you are disabled or otherwise unable to get out, as long as there is somewhere we can be assured of a private and undisturbed space to work in. I cannot at present offer sessions in evenings or weekends.

CONFIDENTIALITY

The counselling relationship depends on your sense of security and trust and I take care to ensure your confidentiality, wherever possible, at all times.
